After a single weekend you will be able to offer customers a basic, high quality Thai massage—or simply use Thai techniques to enhance any body-mind modality you currently practice. For deeper learning, you may attend a series of carefully designed weekend workshops or weeklong retreats.

Students who wish to become Registered Thai Therapists (Practitioner Level) may complete Zen Thai's full Certification Program (see details below). Our modularly designed instructional sequence satisfies all professional requirements of the Thai Healing Alliance International.

Thai 101: Foundations of Thai Bodywork
(15 CEU's FL, TX & NCBTMB)

An introduction to the basic mechanics of traditional Thai bodywork focusing on alignment and breathwork. This workshop enables students to begin practicing a 60-minute treatment sequence in the supine, prone and seated positions. Prerequisite: None

Thai 102: Professional Level Thai
(15 CEU's FL, TX & NCBTMB)

By review of the Foundation Level and study of additional movements in the first three positions (supine, prone and seated), students are able to complete the 90-minute traditional Thai treatment session. Prerequisite: Foundation Level, Thai 101 Certificate or its equivalent w/ another school.

Thai 201: Clinician Level

This workshop deepens the practitioner's understanding by introducing techniques in several additional client postures (side-lying, inverted) plus work on the abdomen, arms/hands, neck, face and scalp. Upon completion the student is able to work in all of the major body postures and can expect to offer comprehensive 120-minute Thai treatments. Prerequisite: Professional Level, Thai 102 Certificate or its equivalent w/ another school.

Thai 301

At this level the practitioner examines therapeutic components of Thai bodywork including Sen Energy Theory and traditional herbal studies. Sen lines are studied in detail to master the names, locations and efficacy of working along each individual energy meridian. Students will learn how to prepare and apply hot herbal compresses using both traditional Thai and local herbs. The students' work is approaching a greater sense of wholeness while refining skills developed in previous levels of study.

Thai 401

Completion of this level enables students to qualify for Practitioner Level Membership in Thai Healing Alliance International (THAI) and use the term Registered Thai Therapist (RTT). Students can apply class hours earned in the Zen Thai Study in Thailand Journey or hours studied with another Thai Healing Alliance member teacher or school.

Apprenticeship & Teacher Training Program
Students are able to assists instructor in class subject to Zen Thai approval for each level taught. With enough experience, Zen Thai can prepare him/her to eventually teach on his/her own if so desired. Students who decide to teach can stay within the Zen Thai system teaching only approved material at selected locations using Zen Thai manuals, videos, etc. If the student teacher ventures out on their own, they will be expected to use their own teaching materials.
