Will I receive individual attention throughout the Thai massage workshop?
Absolutely! It is our goal to focus on each student as we guide them through their learning process. We all learn differently and at different speeds. We remain ever aware of this and adjust our classes to care for everyone’s needs.
How do I become certified in Zen Thai Massage?
Our Thai Massage Certification program is an intensive series of seminars designed to help the therapist be the best they can be. Our Thai Massage workshops are comprehensive and build upon each other. We are in the process of moving students into apprenticeships and become assistants. Thai Massage is growing in popularity so quickly that we need to begin training our students to become instructors!
Do I need previous experience to study Thai Massage?
You do not need pervious experience to participate in our Introduction to Thai Massage. We do require students to have previous background in Thai Massage if they wish to take an advanced Thai Massage class. It is important for students to have a background in thai massage to advance in the Thai Massage certification.
Is Thai Massage difficult on the body?
The beauty of learning Thai Massage is that the therapist’s body with sigh a great big THANK YOU! After it adjusts to its new rhythm! Zen Thai teaches Thai massage with body mechanics as the focus. If the therapist is comfortable then the client will be!
I am not particularly fit, will I be able to do this?
Of course. You will be using your body differently than you are probably accustomed. My students report to me that by the end of the second day their bodies feel renewed.
Do you offer a workshop on Thai foot massage?
Yes! We are finding the demand for Thai foot massage to be outstanding. Thai foot massage is an every day staple in Thailand and we are hoping to make it the same here. An hour our pure foot work is heavenly!
Where can I find a Thai mat?
Zen Thai has searched for the perfect Thai Mat. After ordering everything on the market, they decided they needed to manufacture their own. As a result Zen Thai has a Thai mat that offers optimum comfort for the therapist and client.
What makes your Thai mat the best?
Unlike many Thai mats, Zen Thai’s mat is thick enough to provide excellent comfort for your clients – and great support for your knees – yet at just 17 pounds, it’s light enough to roll up and carry anywhere. Our mat measures 60” x 78” x 2” and its edges are flush with the floor, providing an ideal setting for Thai massage.
Do you have other Thai massage products and supplies?
Certainly, Zen Thai sells instructional Thai Massage DVD’s, Thai Massage clothing, Thai foot DVD’s, temple bells, décor for the treatment room.
So you offer trips to Thailand to study Thai massage?
Zen Thai offers a trip to Thailand each year to study Thai massage. Students travel to Thailand, study Thai massage with one of the masters in Northern Thailand as well as have adventures in both urban and rural settings.
Where are your Thai Massage workshops held?
Zen Thai holds Thai Massage workshops around the USA, the Caribbean and in Thailand.
Do you certify Spas?
Certainly. We have found that spa wishing to bring Thai Massage into their facility benefit most from ongoing support and training. Our Spa Certification focuses on a program that trains not only the therapists, but the spa staff which helps highlight and introduce Thai Massage. As a Spa becomes certified in Zen Thai Massage, it also sends a clear message to the public that they can expect a high quality consistent treatment wherever they go.
Can I incorporate what I study in class onto my table?
Some students do. This is a fabulous way to introduce Thai massage to current clients. Zen Thai teaches Thai massage in it’s traditional venue, on a futon mat on the floor, but we also teach students to fill their tool belt with as may techniques as possible to tailor their treatment to their clients needs.
