A Trip of a Lifetime:
After 17 years of experience exploring Thailand ’s hidden gems, we at Zen Thai offer you a travel experience that takes you off the tourist map. In addition to the usual tours of exotic temples and lively markets found in most travel guides, we’ll guide you off the beaten path throughout Thailand. All the while we make certain that your needs are met and your experiences are authentic and full of life!

Each day delivers genuine exploration of the country few tourists are witness to. Additionally, you will learn skills to enhance your business, have eye popping fun with our fantastic itinerary, and receive one on one attention both State side and in Thailand. We are here for you!

Thailand Workshop

The two weeks include:
We begin in the cosmopolitan city of Bangkok. As with all our journeys, we are waiting for you at the airport. Indulge in a welcome dinner that introduces you to the delights of Thai dining.

First order of business the next morning: MASSAGE to knead out lingering jet lag and energize you for a full day of touring. Explore the history of Wat Po (home to the world’s largest resources of Thai Massage), be dazzled by the glittering gold of the Grand Palace, wander the crowed alleys of China town, feel the wind in your hair as we travel the famous Chao Phraya river.

We journey to the Northern capital of Thailand bringing us to bohemian Chiang Mai. It is here that we study the ancient art of Thai Massage with one of the most revered schools in Chiang Mai. (www.nervetouch.com) Intensive and complete, you will leave the class confident and excited to share Thai Massage with your clients. I have had FABULOUS feedback about Lek Chiaya’s school!

During non class time, I will share favorite hidden treasures of the city including: the best places to buy goodies for friends back home, delicious meals, and the heart beat of Chiang Mai-Warowat Market.

Our favorite day is our day at the elephant sanctuary. After a visit to the banana market to collect tons of bananas, pineapples and cucumbers for the elephants breakfast, we drive to a jungle valley, home to 33+ elephants that now live free. Breakfast, sloppy trunk kisses, bathing in the river, lounging on the platforms watching baby elephants play in the mud. After an excellent lunch you can choose to return to the river to play with the elephants during their afternoon bath or indulge in a massage drifting off to the trumpeting of mother elephants.

Once we have gotten our fill of night markets, massage, tuk tuk rides, fish pedicures (if you so dare?) and such, we drive to Chiang Dao, a journey through the jungle mountains of North Thailand. Lazy days along receiving massage, splashing in the pool, hiking the mountains, chanting with monks in an ancient Wat.

I am including a side trip to a H'mong hill tribe village to examine Gua Sha, bees wax batik, silver jewlery making and forest herb gathering also! Please see: www.StressEscapeTours.com for more details on the H’mong home-stay overnight!

Program price is: $1,995, ($1,695 for those traveling with us and not taking the class)

$150 SAVINGS if you place a $300 non refundable deposit by April 16, 2009
Everything is included except: airfare to and from the USA, most meals (eating in Thailand is just too much fun for me to regulate it), tips/gratuities and the extended stays.

  • A detailed information packet is sent upon receipt of deposit.
  • We include a few meals into the price of the package. Eating in Thailand is such a treat that to limit one’s consumption to what we like would not be fair. Instead, we share with you all the wonderful places to eat the best Khao Phat (friend rice) and Som Tam (papaya salad) etc., to the local Starbucks, and McD’s. We personally show you the best we have found in eating our way through Thailand.
  • All accommodations are lovely and in the mid-range. In Bangkok we stay in the bohemian area called Banglaphu; in Chiang Mai we stay at a charming family-run guest house by the river; in Chiang Dao we stay in simple and delightful bungalows with mountain views!
